Bought our 1998 Expedition EB about a month ago. Shortly
after getting the radio faceplate started to find new numbers
to display and not let you change channels or play the CDs.
I pulled out the radio using 4 long allen wrenches to depress
the two metal tangs. Took off the front faceplate after removing
about half a dozen torx screws. Put a little dielectric grease on the inch long cuppler and put it back together and installed it.
The stereo has been working great ever since!!! Took less than a half and hour.

while you have the oem head unit out, you should just go ahead and put something like this in it's place . . . <http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/pro...cda9815-f.jpeg>
