stock rims for bigger tires?

I have a F250SD 4x4 Crewcab with 265 tires and stock aluminum rims and was thinking of going to 285 tires but was not sure if i could keep my stock rims. Has anyone tried that and how was it?

The 265x75x16 is 10.43 inches wide. The 285x75x16 is 11.22 inches wide.If you have a Lariat I believe the wheels are 8 inches wide.

Well I have 315/75/16's on my SuperDuty stock rims and they work out great. I would image if you wanted to go wider like a 13.50 ++ then you would need new rims. Here is a pic of mine........pea
