02 SD F250 V10-VS-7.3L PSD...both stock...both...a/t...same body...same rear axle ratio. tires etc.

Who would win in 1/4 mi. drag race?

btw...could use earlier models, but no older than 99.

 

Don't know what the V10 is supposed to do, but I just got the Feb03 Peterson's offroad magazine and they 1/4 mile tested a new 6.0L PSD F250 Supercab with a curb weight of 6010lbs and got 17.52s@82.53.

Haven't seen a test for the V10. Anybody know? I'm guessing about 18.50s. Probably would beat a similarly equipped 7.3L but not the new 6.0L.

 

I have an 02' SS,crew cab ,short bed 4x4 with a 7.3 PSD,and 3.73 gears ,AT.
With a SC microtuner on the carb file I ran 16.74, 84 mph at the fun ford weekend last summer in Virginia. !st round I tried showing off and did a wild smoky burnout throgh the water.
When I jumped on the light I spun the tires about 1/3 of the track.
Live and learn. Truck weighs 7,400 LBS with a cap.
