I just got a 1999 f250 super duty 4x4 power stroke. The truck would not go into 4x4,The dealer said it was the small gear in the shift motor was broke in two. The 4x4 system in this truck had been used very little. I think this should be some sort of default from ford, but it cost me $1000 to repair, because they can't just change the gear they have to change the whole motor and gear plus labour. Has anyone had this problem.......
