Post In northern WV...

I filled it up with 87 octane at a grocery store gas island and paid 1.67/gal last night. Diesel at the same station was 1.89/gal. A BP station near my house had 1.95/gal for diesel this morning too. It had gone up overnight but I didn't go by the grocery store where I filled up last night but I'm sure they jacked thier price up too. Yet another reason I'm glad I went ahead and got the V10.

It's gonna get worse too I'm afraid. Luckily I only have to drive my truck about 800 to 900 miles a month so I'll be ok. Feel sorry for those who drive more.

Sparks and Reno, Nv....1.67--1.79 per gal. Its more than 87oct now. Appears it will keep going up?

Also major hike in home heating oil. Seems to me i recall heating oil and diesel fuel are somehow conncected? If so... with the recent demand for heating oil...could this also be affecting cost of diesel fuel? Besides shortages, war prospects and possibly even gouging.

OT

BTW...i suspect before long if fuel prices continue to climb...we'll also be paying more for retail products etc. Truckers use lots of diesel fuel to move those products. As mentioned..it may get worse before it gets better?

home heating oil is nearly diesel with a red dye. it will run in your truck until you get caught and fined.

diesel prices will continue to go up until the truckers strike and drive the prices back down.

if you have the space available start making bio diesel, it is better for your engine and the enviroment anyway and gives you a nice french fry smell at the tail pipe.

The Attorney General is checkin ginto price gouging here..The y said there was no reason for the prices to go up...The oil prices didn't even go up...Its the anticipation of war...I agree with the Bio-diesel deal and am looking into it right now...

The reason Rudolph designed these things were so the farmers could sell their crops for other purposes instead of just food...
He wanted to use soybean oil, to propel his engine and the farmers could also make out by selling more product...Its ashame it has changed to this...The farmers today could sell their crops today for this...The oil people really control everything today...I hope the hydrogen hurries along..

Fuel in this area is running from $1.65 to $1.79. It just really amazes me that it is cheaper to produce diesel than gasoline, but it is right up there with premium.
I saw a show on one of the kids programing one saturday and watched them run a diesel off of corn oil. All they had to do was take some chemicals to seperated the glycol of glicerine, from the oil. They then ran the diesel engine and it didn't even have the normal odor.
I know this nation can grow plenty of corn, Don't you think?

Angry

Fuel around Milwaukee is $1.79. I paid 1.82 for a premium winter blend diesel yesterday. A couple stations have premium gas at $2.

So how high will it go?

I heard if we go to war, $5 gal...Its going to be over $2 gal soon, by the end of winter...BNecause of the bad winter, the south american deal , and the lingering war...

Here in New Jersey, the price of diesel is $1.75 per gallon. When I filled up my tank the other day, I told the attendant that I didn't want to buy the station, I just wanted my tank to be filled. Tommorrow, I will check the air pressure in my bicycle tires. Bugman.
