Trading in L for a Stroke

Ok, Well i need some advice. I'm looking at trading in my 2002 Lightning for a 2000,2001 powerstroke. The main reason is of work. We currently have a 96 Dodge ram 5 speed cummins (flatbed, reg cab) that pulls a bobcat and breaker with a trailer (non gooseneck). I would like to know if a 4x4 3/4 ton with a stroke can handle the same load. I'm not sure the tonage of the whole trailer but a 843 bobcat is 7045 pounds. A breaker is about 850 - 900 pounds. I'm used to driving a manual but would the Ford auto hold up well? Houston Tx traffic?

Right now i've been looking at a black 3/4 ton 4wd super cab (i like the super cabs and reg cabs) ones a manual and ones a auto.
both are 2001s.

Now i do have access to a gooseneck trailer if needed.

What do u call it by towing from the rear of the truck and not the 5th wheel?

Bumper pull, and the 3/4 Ton PSD of 00, or 01 origin will jerk that thing around like it doesnt exist. You will have absolutley no problems with that. I believe Mach1 pulls Bobcats all over creation and when Im home I regularly pull 10K worth of cattle almost everyday with my 01.
