SuperDuty steering

SuperDuty steering
Just got an '03 F150, and, typical for me, already thinking about the next truck (always am). Almost got a superduty this time, because I need to haul gravel and bricks once or twice a year, but could not justify it because usually hauling lighter stuff.
I have driven a few '97 or later F150's and one (used) superduty and the thing that concerned me was the steering of the superduty. the F150 is very precise, with very little slack in the steering. The superduty wandered, was numb on center, and had a few inches of total freeplay in the steering. This kind of turned me away from the SD. Do they all steer like that, could those of you who have driven both compare the steering? thanks.

I have only had my superduty for a month now and love the difference between it and my 97 F-150. Mine steers fine as well. One thing to remember, it is a truck designed for a different purpose. The F-150's are made to ride car like, as most people really don't use them hard as trucks. I didn't buy my F-250 crew Cab with a V-10 for tight, car like steering or creature comforts. I bought it for sheer hauling and towing power and just plain ol big a$$ size. I will never own a 1/2 ton again.
