My best has been 20.6. That is bone stock, right down to the paper filter. On the highway with cruise set about 68mph. The truck is a '02 350 SRW, CC, long bed, 4x4, auto. Looking for better with K&N and muffler delete. Some day I'll chip it. That's what I love about diesels, they take SO well to mods!!!

How in the heck are you guys getting that kind of mileage? I drove a 99 4WD estracab PSD the other day and averaged 13 mpg. This is not pulling anything but its own weight.

Watch out foer the rattling T/C on the 99's...4WD is worth 1~2mpg...

Mine route is idea condition...For fuel economy...

Heres the kicker, 2X stock power and still getting about 1 mpg less then stock, sounds a whole lot better as well..

Seems no matter how I drive, I get around 18 mpg. I have added the mircro tuner (tow safe) program and put in an air force 1 intake system and, even though I get same mpg, the truck runs a lot better/smoother. I can't seem to get any better than that.

Also, how many of you top off your tank? Me, after the gas nozzle turns off, I put in (slowly) about another 5-6 gallons of gas. So now I can go a little over 500 miles on a tank.

Just did a round trip from Kansas City, MO to Roanoke, VA on a week old 03. Running in the 70's (average) down and back averaged 17. Flatlands through MO, IL and IN average = 18 and KY, WV and VA average was 16.68. Had we throttled back to 65 - I'm sure we would have gotten close to the 19-20 mpg range

Hey, the mustang is in restoration mode...I need to take all kinds of before pictures, I used to autocross it in the late 80's, early 90's...I have a couple photos on the website, but it is rough right now...I am going to strip it down to bare chassis and have it dipped...go through the whole car...especially the engine...stick a T56 in it, Was even thinking about an indepedent rear from the t-bird/cougars..

Runnert, drop your tank and harpoon the tank mod...

There is a vent tube in there, cut it off, do the tank mods while you are in there..

I can empty mine, put the nozzle in and it will fill to 32 gals and click off, add another 1/2 gal and you are done...from 20 minutes to 4 minutes...ITS worth it...

best of 21.
Currently ave 18.6. Last was 19
Set the cruise at 68 to avoid tickets.
On a trip doing 75-80 I still ave about 17-18.
Better milage than my former 00 F-150.
