Post New SDs....

One of the last few issues of Truck Trend magazine had a small article that said '05. Ford would start "leaking" bits of info on the new Superduties this fall when the rollout of the new '04 F150s was underway. Expect a new but not radically changed body, the upgraded 30 valve V10 and a completely redesigned interior/dash among other things.

F250 Redesign

I read, but it was a couple months back and I can't remember whether it was autoweek.com or edmunds...that the bet for SD redesign was for the 06 model. Was it not 99 when the SD was first introduced in its current form? If so, that would put 7 years between that and a redo for 06.

Of course looking for an 06 shipping in Sept of 05 etc. Thats just what I read...

That coencides with the intro of the camless, that would be an awesome combo, the redesign and the Camless...

I keep telling myself over and over..you can wait...

Question

I'm still weak on diesel specifics. What's "cam-less"?

I just posted a camless detail in the fan post...

The engine that doesn't have a cam or the extra associated parts to minimize moving parts..and parasitic engine friction losses...

I dont believe Ford was sponsoring the Camless...Its an International engine/truck combo...and they have I believe 3-5 of them out on the highway right now as we speak..they have millions of miles on them, been a couple of years now...
