Guys, what do you want, I said it is the best gasser out there...What do you want me to say about the V10..I will state it again, Its the best Gasser choice in any of the 1/2 tons, 3/4 tons, 1 tons....Is this clear enough, It is an excellent choice, dont even get the 5.4, get the V10...Its the best choice of the other brands, the Chevy and Dodge dont compare!!! It will kick the hell out of the Hemi!!!!, The V10 has been around a while and is refined into a very good gas engine...

Still more, If I were to get a 3/4 ton pick-up, I would get the SD from Ford because they have that availiable V10 that is one of the best gas engines out there...Ford makes a great engine in that V10...

Do you want me to say more???

Now, with that said, if you want Raw Torque and fuel economy, WELL....

ya Mach, I was looking for a 7.3 when I got mine but they were all gone within my shopping radius

I wanted that 4K rebate BAD! In fact, thats how I got my wife to go truck shopping; "But Honey, we can get the Xplan PLUS a 4K rebate! We HAVE TO go look!"

BN--I am glad you have had good luck...keep checking that oil level, I heard another local bit the dust, locked it up...crankcase full of oil...10000 miles, the good thing was, the dealer was repairing the turbo and was test driving it!!!! Take care all!!

it came with new tires i would like to get some rims in the future have not done much with it yet but it is fast for a big truck i am very happy with it not really missing my 97 xlt 4x4 ext anymore.

 

Well i just found out today that after only driving this truck for a few days it getting a rebuilt motor . It was having issue starting and after having the starter alt battery wiring replace 3 times they sent it to ford because of the starting and rattling underneith which i though was a heat shield. I was told a bearing is going out so the motor has been pulled and being rebuilt and the dealer been nice he is paying for the rebuild.

 

Bummer

Well, on the bright side, you'll have a fresh new motor for free

Sorry to hear about getting a rebuilt engine, What did they say was wrong with it...

 

they said a bearing was going i should know more after the holiday i know they already have the motor pulled when i went to get the loaner the guy doing the work on the truck was not there.

 

Was it a crank or rod bearng??? Find out the info, these guys would love to hear...I have not hear of any major problems with the 10...Good luck..

 

i found out today that it spun 2 rod bearings they sent my motor to a machine shop for a total rebuild.

 

Oh, a spun, is not bad at all, quite common..Just regrind the crank, and install new brgs...At least your engine will be strong now, just rebuilt..If its done right, it would be a good deal..Good Luck..
