RP,

Do you know of any plans to re-surface I71?

Haven't heard a word about it but, then again, we really don't have to do much environmental work when they do a project like that.

We're more involved with the state roads that are out in the middle of no where...

Like the ones where they clear off a corner gas station to widen a road or, buy multiple properties to expand and lengthen a road where houses will have to be demolished.

When the day comes for the asbestos work to be done immediately prior to demolition, if we still hold a state contract to do the work, we'll probably get some of it...

They'll be long gone when we come on site though...

I know that bridge probably won't even be put in for another 10-20 years. I drive up to Bloomington for work (though not recently) and a bunch of us ride horses in various places in southern Indiana a lot and it would be nice to not have to go through downtown.

Yeah, my wife and I looked at houses over in S. IN but, because she teaches @ Buckner, that would just be too much of a beast to get to and fro'.

You're right though... those bridges won't be up for 10+ years. I'll probably be in a second house by then...

Yeah, we do... it's just that we only get an update like every 15 minutes unless you have the schedules down on every last station on when they do the traffic.

Rush hour in Lville is hell ... on wheels.

Does not ring a bell to me, I will have to ask them, I am sure they know.

I listen to Medved on 970 on my commute home, so the traffic updates are usually around:
2-5 minutes past the hour
17-20 minutes past the hour
30 minutes past the hour
39-42 minutes past the hour
and 51-54 minutes past the hour

Not sure about 840 - plus I think Mark Travis has something against I71, he never mentions any of the backup unless there is a huge accident.

Cool

I'd have to be honest as I'm more of an FM type of guy but, I have yet to find anything on the traffic reports that are worth a flip.
