02 or 03 ???
I am looking at two trucks right now.
A 03 F250SD Lariat 6.0L diesel brand new for $38k after all the rebates.
The other truck is a used 11k miles 02 F350 dually Lariat LE it has the 7.3 L diesel in it and it is for the same price $38k
They are both with the full four doors, I like them both but I kinda like the Dually with the LE trim better.
And I have always thought the duallies were cool. So for the same money which is the better buy?
Thanks for you help...

Personally, I would feel better spending that kind of $$ on the new one. I am always leary of vehicles that are back on the market as quickly as that '02 is - makes me wonder what kind of problems the original owner had that made them get out of it. However, if you have access to maintenance records on it (and maybe an OASIS printout from the selling dealer), you might be able to find out if it is a lemon or not. I also think the price on the '02 seems a little high - but don't really know what the LE package went for. Bottom line - go with whichever one will let you sleep better at night - because either way it is an SD!

I think the LE package has a custom graphics package, unique leather seating, some extra woodgrain trim, and a unique windshield visor and running boards. Kind of a factory conversion package. I don't have a clue what the pricine for it would be, though.
Is the $38k for the '02 the asking price or the negociated price? I think you should be able to get it for less than a new truck by a few thousand dollars.
