Differences between F250's and F350 non-duallies?
I have seen several F350's that are not the duallies around lately and I was wondering what the difference is between them and a F250. From the appearance, they look exactly alike too me. Are they different internally?
I saw a F350 Crewcab short wheelbase today that I thought was a F250, but when I walked by it said F350 on it. I noticed it because i I really like the superduties and will get one when I decide to upgrade from my F150. So whats the differnce between the two?

there the same truck
Springs, brakes & axles are the same starting on 02
the difference is that the basic F250 without a tire upgrade
comes with 235 tires
the F350 comes with 265 tires
It's the load rateing between these tires that gives the F350
a higher GVWR
Of course if it's a 4x4 the F250 comes with a 2" spacer in back
and the F350 get's a 4" spacer
So the F350 4x4's sit higher in the back end
It's odd but true, over at the other site it's been debated

Dont forget the .4 cu.in. larger frame section modulus on the 350!!
My 4x2 has the 4" blocks on the rear and I've seen alot of 250s coming with Load 'E' tires...
Basically, it all comes down to legality if you're going to be hauling big loads. I got the 350 because my wife liked the two-tone and options it came with. I had my mind set on a silver 250 extracab XLT. I am glad that I ended up with the camper package and dual alternators as a couple of the goodies. If you can, get those options, they're cheap and are a nice enhancement.

I had a cuscomer in here with a 350(mines a 250), I had a better setup then he did...I find it hard to believe they did it that way...He had the same leafs as mine..No overloads, no stabilizer bar..
Mine doesn't have overloads, but I do have the stabilizer bar in the rear(Slide in camper cert)...
So they are all different, just peak under the one you are going to buy and make sure it has everything you want, or add it after you buy it..
