3V V-10 - rumor or true? If so, when?

At this point as far as I know, it's supposed to happen, but I haven't heard a definited date. It won't be in the early '04s for sure. The focus will be on the introduction of the new F150s. My guess would beat at the very earliest 2005, especially if they do a "freshening" of the Super Duties then. The rumored next major redesign of the SDs is either '06 or '07 so that would be another option.

I've heard that all engines are going 3valve... 4.2, 4.6, 6.8
With the 4.2 returning in 2005 model year, that may be a good time as any to upgrade the 6 and 8.
Of course the Super Duty is slated for redesign in 06 or 07 model year so the upgraded 10 may happen then.
But this is all internet specualtion.

They can keep the sheet metal the same, I like the current stying. Likewise with the dash and interior for the most part. It's the only interior that still looks like it's a pickup interior.
The new 3v V10 would be nice a.s.a.p.. I'm guessing it should bump the HP/Torque ratings up to about 350hp and 460lb-ft!
