6.0 L Questions
I just purchased an '03 F250 with the 6L. It is my first diesel after several F150's. I only have about 150 miles on the truck.
Today my brother, who has an '02 F250 - with the 7.3, took mine for a drive. He noted how little power it has off the line. He was impressed how it flew after it got moving.
Does this have something to do with breaking in the motor or do I have one with a gremlin?
Someone, please give me some advice...
Thanks

You definately have a long break in to go, but for comparison:
I have a stock 2003 6.0L except for a cat back 4" system and I have just over 9000 miles on.
My pops has a 2003 7.3L with superchips (on tow-safe mode) only and about 30K.
Comparing these trucks, the 7.3L jumps off the line quicker, but the 6.0L takes over quickly. As I just mentioned in another thread, my theory is simply that the 1.3L advantage give the 7.3L a natural advantage before the turbo, tranny, and other things start taking effect.
Personally, I can live with the minor hesitation since Im not the type of driver who desires off the line performance from my SD.
I will say that it's pretty impressive if you powerbrake the 6.0L up to 2000 RPM and see what happens!
