SuperDuties Rule!
Every time I borrow my Dad's 02 F350 SD 4x4 w/ V10 I like it more and more! I had 2.96 tons of gravel in it yesterday and 2.35 tons of gravel in it today, and it didn't bat an eye at the loads. I don't know about the 3 ton load, but with the 2.35 ton load, the truck wasn't riding on the bump stops. Even w/ 3 tons on it, it has plenty of power; it can cruise down the road doing an easy 60 mph, and has plenty of power left over for additional acceleration. Furthermore, I was quite impressed w/ the braking carrying a heavy load.
A few years ago I used my Dad's old truck (81 F250 camper special - read extra leaf springs - w/ 400 ci V8) to haul 2.5 tons of dirt and their is no comparison. I could barely do 45 mph and the truck was all over the road. It didn't do well w/ loads much over 2 tons.
Now, if only the seats were as comfortable in his truck as in my 2000 F150...
I think the seats are the only thing I don't like about his truck
