Leaky turbo

F-250 4x4 2000 model. 7.3l diesel

From the fresh air side of the turbo, the air goes to an intersection type piece (Looks like there is 4 pipes feeding into it. 2 which go into the itake, 1 coming from the intercooler, and the other from the turbo going to the intercooler).

Around all of the rubber fittings, there is oil buildup. Not much but enough to be black from dirt and grime.

The truck is not using oil, not enough to notice. But warranty is almost out and I want it fixed if it's bad. The truck is used to pull heavy trailers occaisonally. I had been told it was from that.

So do you guys think it's a problem?

Those boots can blow off because of this, if you put the power to the ground...Had a customer that had them leaking oil big time...Theres a mod to reroute the PCV to atmosphere, then you can clean them up and they would nver seep oil again...
