'98 F-250 bed?
#4
If I am interpretting your post correctly, you are asking what years and models have the same bed as your 98 F250. It's not a LD w/ an updated bodystyle, and the bodystyle is prior to the current SD bodystlye, right?
I'm not positive, but I believe the beds are the same in the F150, F250, F350 (SRW) from mid to late 80s through 98.

here is the poop.
Ford made a pickup from 92 to 96. this was the body for all trucks (150, 250, 350, 450)
Ford then released the new 1997 redesign in 96. As this new truck had a smaller engine bay, they could not cram the 460 nor the diesel into the engine bay without a lot of work.
So for the 97 and 98 model years, Ford continued to use the 92-96 body for F250, 350 & 450.
At the same time, guys that needed a little extra for towing/hauling but liked the new style they beefed up the suspension of the new style 98 truck and called it the F250 light duty. At the same time they caslled the othe old style 250 the Super Duty to differentiate..
iN 1999 Ford introduced the new Super Duty range of trucks and then discontinued the 250 light duty. However, they did not get rid of the 250 light duty option. They renamed it F150 7700# payload package with the same 7 lug wheels.
Does this make sense?
