well, maybe it's a little tacky, but I like that truck. I only like the orange one. Universal Ford where I used to work has a couple of the grey/black ones, I don't like them much, but the orange one looks pretty good to me.
I'm still not into Harley Davidsons, but for those who are, I think it's the perfect tow vehicle.
just my .02

Being in Ford sales, I heard allot of crap about what was supposed to happen. Originally, Ford wasn't even going to produce an '04 Lightning. Ford claimed there would be no bouteque models in the F150 Lineup. (Bouteque models being the L, HD, and King Ranch) They then decided to move the HD to a Super Duty (they took a while to decide if it would have a SC V8 or SC V10, or if they'd use the 6.0 Diesel. Since they are still building the regular and super cab versions of the old body style F150 (called the heritage model) they decided to carry over the L. It will be interesting to see what they do with the HD model when the L comes back. Wondering if they will stick a variation of the L motor in a crew cab F150 and call it the HD. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Super Duty version of the HD doesn't seem to be as popular. I don't even think my dealership ordered one.

Just a theory here but I think the HD went to the SD because of time constraints in comming up with a HD package for the new 04 150.As far as the Boss getting the L motor thats not going to happen the Boss is not even a Ford production truck its a conversion by LA West.Dont count out the HD 150 just yet I bet you will see it return. As for the HD 250 I think it looks great in both paint schemes and no it will not come in a F350 Dually just SRW models.

Obviously the rail fans here have not spoken yet...
This Southern Pacific steamer and it's famed orange and black "Daylight" livery are condsidered by many, to be, possibly the best looking steam engine ever to ride the rails. The Competion Orange and Black paint on the 2004 HD SD has much the same sort of appeal for me, as does the SP Daylight paint.
Of course, I also have to admit... whenever I see a new F-150 FX-4 in Blazing Yellow with Dark Shadow Grey, I am reminded of the Armour Yellow and Harbor Mist Grey paint scheme used by the Union Pacific railroad.
There is a reason Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors!
