Take off the caliper, then the caliper bridge( holds the pads) and then slide off the rotor. Very easy. Good luck

Question

I thought the rotor was part of the outer hub? I haven't pulled mine in my new truck but my old Ford trucks required removing the wheel nut. I always re-packed the wheel bearings (after inspection) while the rotors were at the machine shop.

If its a 4x4 then the bearing is sealed, non servicable, rotor just slides off like a front wheel drive car.

You got it...if its a 4X4 then the rotor comes right off the wheel lugs...if the 2WD then the rotor hub is intergal..

Im just wondering, did you have any trouble finding rotors for your truck? I have a 2001 with a little over 36000 Mi. on it and started to get some pulse in the brake. Got new pads and rotors from the parts store and the rotor will not fit, the best patr is they don't know why or what to do about it. I will go to ford on monday and see how much they will kill me for a set of there rotors, if it is too much I think I will just go for the Brembo's, found them on the net for $125 each. Any thoughts?

They gave you the wrong rotors. I always use Ford replacement parts, but I live less than a mile from the dealer. If you ask, they'll usually will give you one of the discounted prices (I think they have 3 or 4 different "prices" in the computer for parts). The parts guys at the dealer I use have been there for years and are very helpful.
