Door Ajar Light On/02 F-250 Scab
Has anyone had the problem with their "Door ajar" idiot light illuminating when the doors are actually shut tight ?
Lately (seems mostly on hot days only), I'll get in the truck after it's been sitting all day, and the door ajar light comes on and stays on. I open close the doors tightly several times, including the "suicide doors", but it still stays lit. My doors do rattle a little on bumpy roads and are not as tight as they used to be. Anyone else seen this ????

The door ajar switches are stuck. They are located in the bottom portion of the door latch. Flush your front door latches with WD40. Open and close the door a few times and then reflush. Watch out for the WD40 running out the bottom of your door, have a few rags ready. Should unstick those switches, cheaper and easier than replacing them.
