I have had a lot of problems with this 1997 F-150 4x4 4.6L V8...
I bought the truck through a private sale, something I am NEVER goign to do again.
The problem I am currently having is with my gauges in the dash. My temp, oil pressure, volt, and fuel gauges have a mind of their own. They will go all the way up while I am driving, and sometimes right when I start the vehicle. Restarting the truck usually fixes the problem, for a short time then they do the same thing again after a few minutes. It was doing this before I had a re-build done on the engine due to coolant leaking and causing the 3rd and 4th cylininders to loose compression (at 73,000 miles). Its crazy because sometimes they work just fine
Does anyone have any ideas on this so I don't have to fork some more money out to the Ford dealership????
Thanks!
