? for a ford tech on 04 f350 6.0

i told my buddy the trick i did with having trip button held in for 2 seconds to access info on my 04 e250 5.4 van- he said he did it on hos 04 f350 powerstroke and it satys at all 8's- anyway to get them off? thanks in advance-phil
