Angry Unusual Tire Wear

Anybody else get unusual wear on their front tires after installing a Fabtech leveling kit?

Have you had it aligned since installing the lift?

Yeah, I had it aligned right after it was put on. Might need it again though?

Unusual tire wear indicates something is amiss with the front end. It won't fix itself. A qualified person doing an alignment can spot what is wrong and let you know. This is better than replacing lots of parts when you don't know what's wrong. Diagnosing the problem is the first step.

If you go to a Jiffy Lube type place where some kid puts it on a machine and looks in a book and says "It's within specs" as he hands you a bill for $49.95, then you are in the wrong place. As in most professions, only about 10%-20% of the people are qualified to be doing what they are charging you for.

Thanks for the info! I am going to make an appointment with my local tire guy after Christmas. I trust him because he has done work for me in the past.

Question

Is your local tire guy capable of cold bending the axle? I think that to align the front end you still need that capability and most 'tire guys' cannot do that type of work. Don't let them put a torch to your axle to heat it up to bend it! If you're not sure I would take it to a Ford dealer as they ahve the equipment.
