Cool looking ride.. Few questions:
-What business is this truck used in? It appears that there is some use in mind for this rig..
- Are those dolly's strapped to the rack?
- Is that part of the tool box thats protecting the rear window?
- Lift gate looks like it could be way useful .
- I don't see a trailer hitch. Are you the one that owns a few SD's, 1 for home use, and the others for your business? (In fact I thought you had a white one for towin your TT).
Hmm, after reading your sig, you do have a class IV hitch hidden there somewhere..

Looks like you made some great choices. You used the $$ saved from gettin an XLT to add your other goodies..

CPhilip: that's a way cool color, but wait, it's the same color as my truck. No wonder I like it I agree w/V10, the wheels are pretty plain but I bet they get you where you're going. If you haven't gotten them yet, go find some step/door guards to protect the inside panel from dirty work boots. In your picture that shows those cool seats, the guards will go right below the tan ones on the floor to protect the sides. Also think about installing a rechargable Maglite. Mine is on the left of my seat, on the floor. Wires are run under that tan floor guard. AND if you ever think you will need to jump start other's, think about installing these quick disconnect jumpercables that I have. Half of the cables stay permanantly connected to the battery and the other half is behind the seat. I just have a small connector that shows through in the grill. Imagine needing to jumpstart someone, in the rain and not having to lift your hood to do it.

Thanks guys and gal.

Answers to questions:

R. Bess, yes I do own a white XLT Superduty as well.

I pick up and haul regulated (Hazardous) waste around the Campus out to a central accumulation point for later disposal. End up with all kinds and sizes of containers up to 55 gallon drums.

Yes those are dolly's up there. Free's up the bed space for the drums and such.

No, that is actually a component of the Trac Rac system. It is a cargo holder turned upside down to form a Head Ache rack. All the components can be moved around or even removed from the tracks if need be. Including the tool box. http://www.tracrac.com/

Trailer hitch I have not solved just yet. These Trucks do have the towing package but when the lift gate went on it obstructs the place for the frame hitch. It does however have a bumper, as you can see, that has a 600/4000 pound rating. When the gate is lowered that bumper swings back out of the way. I am discussing the possibility of a hitch with the Anthony people.

The wheels? Well... what can I say... It was a State Contract buy. We bought three of these trucks. Exactly alike. They would only let us have the XL's. We optioned everything we could but better wheels and power locks and windows were not included in our option list.

Yes, Tina these are cool colors! I put in some of those molded floor mats but can't remember the Manufacturer right off. Since we had the base vinyl bench I put in the Wet Okole's to "protect" it.

Added on edit: They are Huskey Floor Liners in black.

CPhilip: Good thing you did add those seat covers. I got to "test" drive an XL with those lovely vinal seats. It was a HOT day and I didn't notice that my arm had stuck to the seat. When I went to move my arm, it pulled the skin so hard that I ended up bruised. I couldn't imagine wearing shorts and thinking of all the leg bruises I'd end up with.

Yes Tina, I wore shorts in it one time. Those vinyl seats are murder. Blistered the back of my leg almost immediately. They get hot as heck and burn the snot out of you. Even the light colored tan!

Needless to say, I quickly got on the line to Wet Okole and got them on the way. They were a "Must Do" for the Sunny South.
