Who pulled the biggest load?

I recently saw a 97 F150 (I know it was a 97 because it had the tailpipe ahead of the rear wheel, but I don't know what he had under the hood) towing a LARGE backhow on a trailer. I owned a similar trailer, just a little smaller and it weighed 2600lbs empty. Add that to the 15000+ lbs that the back hoe weighed and it is a miracle that this guy could even get this rig rolling!

Ford-tough1 & fast46triton,
You don't have to "stay off" this thread. I just think if you want to discuss towing with a Light Duty, you should do it on a different thread. Many other LD owners probably never visit here and you'd miss their input.
I think fast46triton asked a very valid question. I just think he's getting answers from the wrong people.
I appreciate all your input - and am not trying to cause any problems.

I didnt think anyone with a LD truck would tow over 7000lbs! Thats why I put it here, where 7000+lbs is supposed to be pulled by, a Superduty, or a LD with some huge big block or something. If any LD owner wants to say they towed more, go ahead. THen post it in General Discussion under What one of the stupidest things youve done with your truck {and no, I am not calling you stupid} ![](https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif)

ok i know you won't believe this but it is the honest truth. i have pulled a 145 hp fwa tractor on a trailer that weighs 6000 empty. rule #1 don't look in mirror. #2 give yourself plenty of stopping room. I don't recommend this>
tractor weighs 21-22000 lbs.

I know this is not a superduty but, this past weekend I got to use a guys 92 F250 7.3 turbo diesel, and those things pull, I couldn't imagine a new powerstroke. We had 250 bales atleast 35 lbs. apiece which totals to be 8750 lbs. plus the trailer. The trailer is a homemade goose neck made out of a triple axle 36 foot house trailer frame. It had to grunt alittle off of the line but those deisels pull.
