I installed a PUTCO Billet Grille last weekend. Unlike the other billet grilles that require cutting... this one simply installs over top of the current grille.

It worked as advertised! Took about 15 minutes to install, has a cutout for the OEM OVAL and I like the way it looks.

I'll try to post a picture later so you can judge for yourself... but it turned out to be a good option for me.

PUTCO makes excellent products (that actually fit)(as compared to other manufacturers). I am anxious to see the photo of your grill. They used to have a factory outlet story in the Des Moines area, offering great discounts, but it has closed.

 

And how much was it?

I saw one (for a Ch*vy) the other day at a hitch/towing supply store. Dealer said it'd be about $250 for the main grille and another $150 for the lower. Looks very similar to these.

The tough decision for me is whether to get a grille like this or spend the extra $100 and get an Excursion grille- which I like best.

 

I have the pics. I promise I will try to put them up tonight when I get home. I'll have to figure out how... but I will try.

I went through the same dilemma. And since I am adverse to cutting/drilling on a new truck, I figured I could "bolt" this on and see how I liked it. I like it.

If I still like it in 6-8 months, I can look into replacing the grille entirely.

NHL round 2 is taking off & the Blues play the Stars! My wife will go nuts trying to decide who to cheer for!

I'm guessing your a Devils fan? My fav is the Pens. Jagr is the best.

 

Devils fan it is! Most of my family lives in Albany, NY where the River Rats (the Devils farm team) plays... so I have watched many of these players over the years...

I did work in Dallas for a while, and really like the Stars, too; unless, of course, they are playing the Devils.

I really like Mario, and the Penguins make me nervous this series. We'll see how it goes

Sport bar went fine, once I left it up to the shop. I asked what it entailed... and they told me with a smile it was just a matter of getting it on...

I guess if you have more experience than me, it should be more easily done?

I tried to take some shots today... but I didn't like them. I'll take some more later this week and then post those too. In the meantime, I like it!

And the grille looks better from a distance. It's been suggested to me that I could paint the factory grille behind it... but I think it's okay for now.
