Question

Hey, I like the sounds of it!! But I do have one question... Are you trading in your '99 or keeping it? Were you leasing your 99 and the lease ran out, or are you upgrading?

I'm curious. I upgraded my '99 lease and stepped into a Y2K a couple months ago. My payments did go up, but then again so did the sticker price! They initially gave me a small hassle until I walked in with cash in hand. But I have no regrets, as I love the truck!

The lease on my 99 hasn't expired. So I'm paying (through the nose) and walking away early. Then re leaseing (new lease) this next truck.

Reason why: I felt that a 2 wheel 150 didn't cut it with the different stuff I do (small hauling, payload, etc.) When I got this F-150 in 4/99 I wanted the 250 but wasn't willing to wait. this time I am, and DON'T WANT a 2001 model. So I gotta pay for it.

Will be handing the 99 in though. Haven't changed my sig yet. I'm hoping I don't jinx anything

Talking Ordered Today!

Well gang pray for me. I placed an order this morning for a 2000 F-150 7700 Lariat. I'm excited as heck, but doubtfull. I'll shoot my self when Fords calls and says "Too Late to build it." and rejects it. Sure hope not!
Here's what I got:
2000 F-150 7700 Lariat 4X2 139" Supercab
Wedgewood Blue/Silver Two tone
Medium Graphite Interior
--
5.4L V-8 / 4spd auto / 3:73 LS
--
Leather Captain's Chairs
Cab Steps
Slider Rear Window
Trailer Tow Group
Soft Tonneau Cover (Snapless)
6 disc CD Changer
Power Adjust Pedals
--
Z plan was 25649.00, 1234 below invoice. All in all I'm very happy. Even says I'm paying 18 bucks for gas... oh well.

Dealer also says 6-8 verses who knows wait time for a SD truck, I like that. Plus my lease payment will stay the same. Sounds cool to me, plus I'm getting the adjust pedals, overhead console, and keyless entry, nifty

Let me know what you think guys (and ladies) I've already got sitting on my desk a set of three "F-250" badges from the dealer, the first and only change I may make to the truck! But I've got to get those F-150 badges off the thing ASAP when "if" it arrives Also picked up a 50 year decal for the back window like the 98s had. I love that little decal.

If anyone's interested the dealer part number for the 50 year decal is
F85Z-15423A68-AA.

The biggest thing was price. The interest rate on a SD was 13 someodd percent. It would make a payment for a 250 XLT 2wheel drive about 600 bucks. I may as well go with the Navigator (NOT ON A BET!)

This 250LD is not going to cost much more than my 150 and it's got those SHARP wheels on it. You don't loose the nice 150 features, but get a 250 feel. I've already got sitting here a set of "F-250" badges for the tailgate and fenders.

But I'm still pulling my hair out that Fords will reject the order. I've heard the rder block is closed, but I can't imagine Fords not wanting to sell me a 30K dollar truck... Just not good business practice.

Cool

LariatFan: yea, price can be a killer on those SD's Whenever I'm near my local Ford dealer, I always drop by to "check out" what's on the lot. The last time, they had a beautiful SD 250 XLT 4x4 diesel. A real killer of a truck w/a nice "HOLD" sign in the window already. Price tag was $39K (almost 40) Had all the extras. I just about had a stroke too!!! That's because the only thing this truck had that mine didn't was the 4x4. It's very hard for me to think that people will pay that kind of money for these trucks when you can order them for a lot less. Mine invoiced out at Total price of $28,125. (then add state tags & tax)
Why was the interest higher for a SD loan??? I just went back and checked mine and it's at 7.5% but I also went through a credit union.

Yea me too Tina mine was 7.95 for what ever. I don't understand.

I found the F250 not only to have the bigger tranny but everything is bigger as well. Springs, etc. I found it was a trade off. Some creature comforts in the F150 verses some free stuff in the F250SD like Captains Chairs in the F250SD. The price was within $1000 for a comparable unit.

And what's wrong with these cool wheels? The standard XLT F250SD wheels:

------------------
2000 F-250 Super Duty, SuperCab XLT, Oxford white with medium grey cloth captains chairs, 5.4L Triton V8 (260 HP - 345 FP Torque version!), 4R100 4 Speed Automatic Transmission, 4 wheel ABS, Deluxe Aluminum Wheels, Trailer Towing Package, Class IV Hitch, Reece load distribution system, Escort Sensor II Electronic Brake controller, Sure Stop towing skirt, "Westin" black powder coated step bars, "White-White" head lamps, Herculiner bed liner, ISSPRO Tranny Temp Guage, Excursion center console, Ford moulded mud gaurds, K&N Air and Oil filter, Amsoil XL7500 5W-30,Air filter minder.

Got it. I wasn't thinking lease.

But one thing to note the keyless entry, overhead console and stuff *is* availble on the SuperDuties and it seems the 01 XLT trims are getting the chromed steel wheels standard like the lariat trim models have in the past.

Several new items for this year on the F250/350 SD XLT's include body side molding, CD-Cassett radio's, and the wheel change all standard. And some other stuff I have forgotten.

Valid points. But one thing to mention was my color choices. I'm got tan interior on my 99 Lariat. I wanted another Lariat but with the grey interior. Not doable yet on SD Lariats. Now that's nit picking, but something that helped me decide. The 250LD was just what I wanted, plus the 6 week wait sounds good too, but still too long. I thought it only took 19 hours to build one of these. Just fax the order on day one. Build it on days 2 & 3, deliver it - 1 week. So a total of two weeks, right? Ok ,I know I'm reaching now....

The 13% was RCC lease deal. A 28K F-250SD 4X2 short box XLT was about 600 a month through fords.

Besides. I don't need that much truck, espically for just city driving and light towing. I just wanted a step above the 150, and the 2K enhancements over the 99s. Some 99LD features (i.e. keyless entry) are not avail. yet on SD trucks. There's nothin wrong with the SD wheels. I just got a thing for the LD 250 chrome ones. There's nothing wrong with eiter truck, they're Fords, they rock! I really just didn't need the SD so I left one spot in the ordering block for someone who did.

You know...

Yes, the grey leather is going to be late availability.

The 7700 is a sweet truck. I looked em hard. You will like it and it's probably just right for your needs
