I ordered a 2001 F250 SD Lariet. It was built on March 6, 2001. It shows up today but with the old "tomb stone style" seats. Anyone ever heard of this? the old seat was phased out many months ago.

??? Wierd huh!!??? I've looked at trucks on the dealers lot, some have the new seat, some the old style. If you really want the new style, pitch a fit (politely of course) and see if your dealer will switch out some from another truck. Seeing as how you've ordered your truck, I would think you could/should get what you wanted. Good luck.

Thats to bad. Ask the dealer to get the newer style seats and installed for free or to find another truck same color and everything with the new seats in it.

Now the update. I feel some what foolish (I'm usually very well informed) but eh new 2001 crew cabs only come with the earlier style seat. The newer (cooler, adjustable) seats are only fitted to the supercabs. Oh well.
But I now have the truck and totally love it. So much smoother then I could have imagened.

An ebay seller called truckandrvsupply.com has seats, wheels, and other goodies from customizers and ambulance converters. Much of the stuff is stock, current year, and unused.
