Talking Another new F250 owner

Just got a new 05 F250 5.4L V8 CC Lariat at lunch today. I love it much better then the 04 150 I had. I wish I had done this to start with! Live and learn I guess!

Since I traded in an 04 and took a bit of a loss, I can't do much for mods yet but I don't think there's anything on here I want too actually. It's got everything I want. I just need to get new floor mats. I had Huskys on my 150 and loved em. I'll probably do the same. Their moving over my head unit from the 150 Tuesday and I should be ready to rumble.

Just thought I'd say howdy since I'll be in here more versus the F150 area I use to hang in.

Anyone know much about the new integrated brake controller? I still need to RTFM.

I had to carry over 3k from the 150 but with the A-plan, I financed 35.5. Fairly decent dealer. Better without the trade in but I knew that would get me. I'll do some pics after they detail it next week. It's muddy muddy right now.

Thumbs up Nice choice...

Sounds like a nice ride. I am also intrested in the new built in brake controllers. I just can't seem to find one I like. I'd like to hear what you have to say about it. Does the unit/controls light up even when you don't have a trailer plugged in?

If I got a new F250 I'd make sure it had the brake controller. Are you going to do any towing with it? What sized tires did it come with?

Mine had the 235/85s and the first thing I did was go buy a set of 285/75s for it. I hated to spend the extra $$ to replace a perfectly functional set of tires but the 235s just looked too damn small on there...

This has the LT265/70RX17E OWL All-Season (125$ upgrade option according to the sticker). At least there Pirelli tires not BF Goodrich like my F150. I guess they look a bit small but don't bother me and I'm way tapped for cash til I get tag and all. Ugh. Salesman said Ford is now required to buy tires evenly from all the major manuf. so if ya get a 250, have them switch tires from another if you want better tires
I've seen Michellins too on the lots

The controller from the little I played will light up ya hit the button without anything hooked up then go blank. I'll find out today when I test my wiring with this 2 horse trailer which has brakes. I'm new to trailering and all so I'm learning myself.

Cool

No the 265s don't look too bad at all, I would have kept them if I had that size on mine. The 235s looked too narrow on a truck this size.

Let me know what you think of the brake controller after the first towing trip. Good luck!

I'll let ya know. Just hooking up the connection I know its on since it lights up and the message center tells you if the wiring is disconnected which is kinda cool. A few pics in my gallery but it need a detail.
