2004 F-350 Diesel Issues?

I went searching a bit on here, the internet, and also at the thedieselstop.com to find a few answers to my questions. Didn't get any real answers.

To make this short and sweet, my father is kicking around the idea to upgrade his 2002 F-250 Scab 7.3 diesel to a 2004 F-350 6.0 Screw holdover at a local dealer. Nothing wrong with the current truck as it has been great for him the first 52,000+ miles on it. I knew there were issues with the 6.0 when it first came out and I also thought there were some with the 04's....anybody fill me in it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

I think it was just the '03's that had a lot of the problems. Personally though, if the 7.3 has less than 60,000 on it, I wouldn't even bother switching; unless, of course, it's because he wants the crew cab.

Incedentally, did you post your questions at TDS on the 6.0 section or the 7.3 upgrade engine section? You'd probably get a better response on the 7.3 section, believe it or not.
