Need suggestions for ^ MPG w/6.0 diesel.
(This is regarding my Dad's truck)
2004 F-450 4WD 6.0 liter PSD automatic trans. Gas mileage SUCKS!!!
Truck is bone stock w/22k miles on it.
Towing is 8 MPG while city driving (not towing) is 10 MPG on a good day.
1. Anybody have really bad MPG out of their powerstroke?
2. I was thinking a Predator might help? (If yes, by how much?)
3. Any maintenance issues causing this? Maintenance has been followed according to the owner's manual.
4. How much mileage can be picked up without doing any motor modifications?

Check to see that if you have shift on the fly, that the hubs aren't locked in 4WD. I have also seen on other forums that a reflashfrom the dealer may help.

I think all of these are unloaded, but all with 6.0. I get around 14 with a mix of highway and slow traffic unloaded.

im about 15 unloaded. from what some people have posted before even that is low. i have seen posts at 18-20. im sure they are exaggrated by a few but still...
i have a rbp exhaust and an airaid intake. i thought that would make it better but it didnt. also there is no cat. still like the truck though.
