IMPORTANT INFO for FORD OWNERS!!!

I was driving a new F250 Turbo Deisel yesterday and floored it to pass some lollygagger...at which time the gas pedal got hung up on a factory floor mat that was "upside down". It took stomping the pedal several times to free the pedal from it's stuck position. Needless to say, it scared the hell out of everyone in the truck (fortunately, we were on the interstate and had room to avoid traffic ahead of me).

These are the factory floormats that have vertical "ridges" at the base of them, when placed appropriately. If those ridges are at the top (the floor mat is upside down) the pedal can and will hang up on the mat.

Just a pretty important FYI for fellow owners... Seems pretty silly but it looks like improper placement of these floormats could kill you under the "right" circumstances. Be careful out there!!!

if you have power adjustable pedels, the floor mats are more likely to get caught up if you rise/lower them (Pedels)

I wonder if that will work to a police officer?

I swear the pedal got stuck when I mashed it from that stop light.....

Some dealers turn them upside down so the carpet side of the floormat does not get dirty during test drives. My 05 was delivered like than but I had no problem with it hanging up the go pedal.

I have seen the opposite too. Guy down the road bought a lincolin 'gator with the 5.4 and said it had no power whatsoever. After driving it I agreed, then promptly removed the bunched up carpet mat from under the pedal.
