Exclamation Decision Help!

I have an 04 f-150 fx4 and I've always wanted a diesel, not that I really pull anything I just like the sound and the power. But honestly would it be worth the extra money to get rid of mine and get one? Or if I modded mine would it be about as quick? Basically I'm just wondering if a modded SD is quicker than a modded f-150, cause mine stock seems to be a dog! Please help!

If you want speed, take the five grand you would pay for a PSD motor, and throw it into a supercharger for the F-150. The 5.4 has tons of potential.

Well if you will be towing the diesel will outdo the F150 every time. Now with mine I've got a mild chip (100hp), exhaust, and intake. It is pretty quick unloaded, as in i can burn the tires at will, but the chip also helps out quite a bit with towing. If you're just using it for daily driving then the $5k you sink into the 5.4L would make it about as fast as a moderatly chipped PSD.
