I'm about to trade off my '04 F150 for Lemon problems. I've always wanted a Super Duty and this may be my chance.
You guys are the experts, so, any suggestions on engine, options, etc.?
I'd love to have the diesel but the cost may deter me. What about the V-10, are they good engines?

The V10s are solid engines. In fact any problems they have are shared with the 5.4L, as they are basicly the same engine. (6.8L / 10 = 5.4L / 8)
The truck overall is also very solid. It just isn't a poser badge where it says "SUPERDUTY" They are veeeery heavy and beefy all around, but with the powerstroke can be easily made into drag racin machines. The torqshift five speed auto tranny is one of the few autos that I would actually prefer to have, but if you like the stick the six speed is cool. The total fit and finish is right on, and I am eagerly awaiting the new 6.4L twin turbo powerstroke next year.
