I don't think this is anything new. Ford has been doing this for years. They just continue the size up from 100 or150/250/350 for 1.5 ton, 2 ton trucks etc. Looks like you could take an F650 regular cab and easily put a 300 bushell grain bed on it.
My dad has a 1961 F-600 with an 18' grain bed. It has a 289, 4spd and OD and a 2 speed rear axle. I think that would put it at a 2 ton truck. There are still plenty of these types of trucks that are used on a regular basis.
I also know another farmer in the area who has a 1948 Ford F4 with a wooden grain bed that dumps. It has always been put in the shed and he still uses it every summer. The interior is almost perfect. My dad also has an F4 that is a few years newer, but it hasn't run for years. It has some kind of a flathead V8 in it.

I found it through their website. I was offered a job with CNH in the tractor test group in Burr Ridge, IL about 3 months before I took this job. I ended up turning that one down because there was no field work involved. The tractor group is different in that they have a dedicated group close to Pheonix. They simply work on them a little bit and then contact farmers to run the tractors. Didn't appeal to me like this one did.
