OK My Turn....

ok guys..

never had this happen before...

now that its cold out here(single #'s at nite)

when i stop at the store on the way to work i can smell diesel fuel (raw..like spilled on the engine)around the cab..from outside...not bad but its there...

no leaks that i or anyone else can find...and we looked from front to rear..

however we did find a "problem"

every frickin hose clamp that has anything to do with the turbo was LOOSE
(you might want to check ALL of yours)

coming home...ran much better but i can still smell it

not as much but...

any ideas? :santa:

The trick for the turbo plumbing is to get all the oil off of the boots and use some hair spray to help keep them on.

You only getting the smell when cold, or all of the time? Have you checked the orings at the fuel drain? It could be weeping fuel in that area and letting it sit in the valley.

After you tightened your turbo clamps did you notice any boost increase on the gauge?
