Banks??????

its probably went over a hundred times but what are the associated problems with the banks power system other then less horsepower and more money with the 6.0 and auto trans
I am new to the diesel thing ive heard about tranny failure and coolant pucking

I just traded in my 04 F150 for the 06 F350 CCLB,DRW 4wd lariat

banks

so far no problem with the banks six gun w/pda.I'm run 4" lift w/325/65/18 mickey t's and averaging 16.5 mpg running 75 to 80https://www.f150online.com/forums/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=1961262#

If you overheat your tranny from pushin it to hard it will puke. Just keep the temps down (sorry I don't know the temp for the Torqshift, but it's 220 ish for the 4R100/E4OD) and you should be fine.

A good friend of mine has an '05 Excursion with the Banks kit in it. It's his second one. (Traded the first one in at 75,000 miles with no problems.) He has a heavy foot and tows some pretty decent loads (boats up to 13,000 lbs) with it. The big thing he watches in addition to transmission temperatures is exhaust gas temperature (EGT). On the highest setting, you can approach melt down temperatures in the cylinders pretty darn quick. Oh yea, and he swears by the Banks kit.
