Reg cab and Short wheel base superduty

I saw something I have never seen before. It was a 05 or 06 f-350 with a 6.0 FX4 and it was a reg cab and it had a 6 foot bed on it. I talked to the guy and he said the dealer tried to buy it back from him for $65000. He said it was the`only won that was made. He said that they would never make another one. I was just wondering if any one else has seen one of these.

wow, heh... I'm not a fan of regular cabs (aside from the lightning), but I would take one of those. If the dealer offered 65k...imagine what you could get private party. Heh.

Yeah 65k is alot of money. He had it lifted and a set of nice wheels and tires. He said he ordered a twin turbo set up from banks but he said he has ran a couple of mustangs and a vette or two and beat them. But with twin turbos that thing will be crazy.

Wow, its getting deep in here. First off Ford has never, and probably will never make a SD in such a configuration. If they did make one it was a proto vehicle and there is no way such a thing would slip through the cracks and get out into circulation. I work in prototyping vehicles in the ag equipment industry. Trust me, when a prototype unit comes out there are quite a few safegards to keep such things from being sold to customers. 99% of the time they are destroyed. There are trucks like that that exist, but they are not Ford factory, they are custom trucks. I personally know of one in Socal, and Gene had to start with a long box. I also know of others that have been made. One is in MI, seen a few in FL, and probably quite a few more in CA. Regardless, none have have come from Ford like this, they were all custom fab jobs. Also banks, or nobody for that reason offers a twin turbo kit for either the 7.3L or 6.0L. Heck at this point there really isn't even an aftermarket turbo PERIOD for the 6.0L. Sorry but your "friend" is blowing some serious smoke up your ***.

Well I saw it twice in person and he said he bought it that way and it is possible. As for the twin turbo set up he must have been making it up but I do not know.

I don't doubt that he has one and that he bought it that way, but no way it was a Ford factory vehicle. I'll wager that if you look at the frame you'll see where it was cut. Also if he is going to Banks for parts he really has done NO homework whatsoever on whats good and whats not in the diesel world.

I saw a white 05 F250 Reg Cab, Dualie, FX4 the other day driving down the road. It was pretty beat up for an 05.

I say the guy's a liar considering I just found three in the California region. One in Fontana, CA; another in Healdsburg, CA; and another in Honolului, HI. So I say the guy's a flippin' liar and I think you should tell him to his face. I sell Fords for a living, BTW in case anyone is wondering.
