1997 F-250 (F-150 style body)

Hey guys, I'm looking at a 1997 F-250 5 speed 4x4 (manual transfercase) with a 5.0L and only 65000 miles. Any problems associated (butchered the spelling i think) this model. It has the 5.0 which is fine because I won't be towing anything more then 2000lbs, just hauling my ATV around and daily driving. Anyone had any experience with this rig let me know. Thanks guys

5.0? Thought you could only get the 351, 460 or 7.3L in 97, but yeah these are solid trucks and that should serve you fine.

Thanks...hopefully I'll find one soon...looking all over the place....I think the 351's and bigger came in the HD F-250 in 97', while the standard duty continued the 5.0. I could be wrong but it's a good guess

No, the light duty F250s in 97 looked like the F150s and got the mod motors.

Oh...thanks for the clarifications...EDIT...it has a 4.6L...It's a really nice rig but the guy is asking quite a bit for it...$10500 and will not budge one bit. And the hunt continues

Duh, I'm an idiot, for some reason I read F-350 body style in your subject line when it clearly says F-150.

That is a rare truck though. Where is it?

Dads 97 is the M5OD 4.6L combo, but only being a F-150, the weight **** police sometimes give us trouble. That F-250 would be nice, not for 10K but still...

10 grand is way too much for that truck, all the f-250 that looked like the F150 was that year, and 1998 was the "heavy" F150 which they make now

it was not the super duty F250
