New to me F250

Well I did it. I found a used F250 Power Stroke so I traded in the 04SuperCrew. The new wheels is a 2003 F250 Lairat 4x4 Power Stroke 7.3 diesel. The truck has 58500 miles and it's clean. I was almost ready to give up looking for a while since I didn't think I could come close to trading my half ton in for one. I had one dealer that wanted to trade for $7500 on a 03, I said sorry. I figured a dealer would not give me a fair deal since you could probaly buy an 06 for the same money I would of wanted out of mine. I'll try to post pic if I can remember how.

Nice truck!!!

That is a nice truck!!!

I also scored a 2003 model earlier this year (my first diesel).

I replaced the 2003 front grill on mine with a 2005 grill. You can find the 2005 grill to fit an 03 on ebay. It is modified to fit the 03 front and cost $250. I like my 03 truck, just also like the 05 grill too.

HA!!!! Sorry, but I can't resist it. You do realize that he is just doing what others are and cutting the grill to fit and then charging the HUGE mark-up prices. I did mine for about $30. I just watched ebay for a cheap grill and then cut off about 1.5" from the bottom. If you are careful and prep it the chrome will not peel. You will need 2 small pieces of flat stock and some pop rivets to make the lower mounts, but thats a very simple deal.

Nice truck!

I hope within a year I could get into a nice F-250. Of course I would like new, but not sure if my payment a month would be nice or not. Plus I wanna see how these gas prices are going to go within this year before I go out and buy another gas guzzler.

These F-250's are massive and a beauty to the eye. I would love one of these!

Can I ask what you paid for that 03?

I have an Astro fiberglass cover. The first one starting having crowfooting in the clearcoat after a year, but they got me a new one no problems or hassles. Love it and pics are in my sig link.

I went with the low profile TruckXedo. I had one on my F150 also. It is nice because if you need to haul something you can just roll it up and go. They might not be as sequre and water prof as a hard cover. But I would rather just roll it up myself then finding someone to take off a hard cover. Around $400 dollars for it (dealers cost), pretty easy install.
