Raced a lightning

Before I get flamed I know you can not even compare the two trucks.
I have own two Lightning in the passed a 02 and 04. With that said.
I was on the road last night when a white one pull up to me in my
04 SD KR 4X4. I have exhaust intake and a bully dog tridog chip. I turned it up to the 120hp setting. From about 35 it was on. We were deed even until i let off at 75 or so. I was afraid of blowing head gaskets. I was really suprised and I think the lightning was to.

A stock L was running low 14's here as were some of the modded 6.0L's last time I was at the track. Sounds reasonable to me.

Absolutely possible...I have seen a 6.0 with intake, exhuast, and custom tuning make 425/680 dyno power. I have also witnessed a 6.0 with the same mods in a KR run in the mid to upper 13's....It can be done....

Glad to here some of you believe me as this is very true. As I said I have been around lightning for a long time. I was just very suppriesing to me that the big truck hung with it even if it was a short time.

I have an 04 Lightning with the usual bolt ons (395/487 to the rear wheels-12.62 in the 1/4) and I will say that a chipped/exhaust PSD gave me all I could handle when my truck was new and stock-from a roll. Lightnings are dangerous out of a hole shot, but from a roll are not typically that impressive.
I 100% believe your description based on my personal experiences.

Unless you have some severe modifications to your tranny, you'll be buying a new one soon, if you keep that up. The lightning was made to do that but your truck wasn't.

I'm no flaming ya, I just want you to know, so you won't be parting with $3,000 for a tranny.
