Hi, can anyone tell me how big of a tire I can go with a stock F250 tire on a 17" rim? I currently have BFG 265/70/17 tires. I'm pretty sure I can go to a 285/70/17 AT, but I would like to bigger if I can without a lift. Thanks!

 

The difference between those two tires is only about an inch. I've heard 35's will fit without a lift but i dont know this for sure.

I have 295/70R17 On my 2005 F250 Right now and am looking at 315/70R17 to replace them with.

 

I have what he is going to and have no problems on my 05 FX4

What brand of tire are you running? Do you like them? I have to replace the 295/70R 17 tires on my truck be for it snows and need a good replacement tire, 315/R70 17 seems like a good option. Now need to find a good tread patter for mud/Snow.

And I can't really give you a good eval yet, I've only had the truck for a month and I have no complaints, however I haven't taken them off road and I dont know how many miles they have on them currently, however they are in great shape.
