I haven't been able to find the V-10 in a 250 at all in S. Jersey.

6T6CPE,
Keeping looking and don't give up hope, check out nearby states. It took me ~3 weeks to find an 06 V10, had to drive 4 hours to another state to get it, but it was worth it.

Not sure of the "sounds" others are hearing, my V10 runs quieter than the '06 F-150 Super Crew FX4 that I traded. The F-150 seemed to have a light "clatter" sound. Got to pull my Toy Hauler for the 1st time this weekend on a short trip, and what a huge difference in towing, the V10 with 4.30 gears was super smooth in the Tow/Haul mode.

My brother previously owned an 01 Excursion with the 2V V-10 and i loved it when it was unloaded. But they never seemed to pull his camper like i thought they should. Dont get me wrong, they pull nice and all but his 04 F-150 with the 3V 5.4 pulls just as good and gets better milage than the V-10 ever did.
Just wondered how the 3V was as far as pulling and fuel milage?

Mileage sucks, runs great & pulls great.

I test drove the F250 4x4 diesel today. I was expecting a lot more pick up than what it had. I didn't think it had much more than my 97 F150 with the 4.6. I haven't tried the 5.4 yet although people are telling me that I will be disappointed. I was also diappointed in the XLT interior. I thought the entire interior was plain. I guess for $45,000 I was expecting a lot more.

I would not even consider the 5.4 in a F250. Did you check out any lariats? Heck since you are already looking at 45,000 might as well make it 49,000 and get a lariat outlaw.

I started out considering $30,000 F150s since I have one. I don't like the looks of the new 150s but I do like the 250's. Then I looked at $40,000 5.4 250s and now I'm in the $45,000 range. I don't like leather although I did see a black leather interior extended cab that I liked but it was upper $40s. I gotta draw the limit somewhere. A Lariat will take me of 50 with the tax. I'm undecided especially after seeing the interior of the 2008.

I rode in a kid's F-350 Diesel Crew Cab XLT last week. It did seem a bit plain to me. It is only the second CC Super Duty I have ever ridden in, and the other one was an XLT also.

It looks like I'm gonna buy the 250 4x4 Lariat with the shortbed, chrome package with the 18 or 20 " wheel package and the diesel. Sticker is $50,000.

I would suggest to stay away from the 20's and go with the 18's. I know the 20's probably look awesome, but the ride will suffer. I had the stock 20's on my F-150, looked great, ride was terrible with less side wall rubber. My F-250 with 17's has a better ride than the F-150 with 20's.

I also know the tire selection goes way down with bigger rims. I love my Revos and now I can kiss them goodbye.

I've never figured out how to post pics but'll try to have someone throw me a signature together.

I just went to the web site. The tire package was $1250 and it has 20" wheels.
