Test drove a 2007 F-250 today!

6T6CPE,
Keeping looking and don't give up hope, check out nearby states. It took me ~3 weeks to find an 06 V10, had to drive 4 hours to another state to get it, but it was worth it.
Not sure of the "sounds" others are hearing, my V10 runs quieter than the '06 F-150 Super Crew FX4 that I traded. The F-150 seemed to have a light "clatter" sound. Got to pull my Toy Hauler for the 1st time this weekend on a short trip, and what a huge difference in towing, the V10 with 4.30 gears was super smooth in the Tow/Haul mode.

My brother previously owned an 01 Excursion with the 2V V-10 and i loved it when it was unloaded. But they never seemed to pull his camper like i thought they should. Dont get me wrong, they pull nice and all but his 04 F-150 with the 3V 5.4 pulls just as good and gets better milage than the V-10 ever did.
Just wondered how the 3V was as far as pulling and fuel milage?

Mileage sucks, runs great & pulls great.

I test drove the F250 4x4 diesel today. I was expecting a lot more pick up than what it had. I didn't think it had much more than my 97 F150 with the 4.6. I haven't tried the 5.4 yet although people are telling me that I will be disappointed. I was also diappointed in the XLT interior. I thought the entire interior was plain. I guess for $45,000 I was expecting a lot more.

I would not even consider the 5.4 in a F250. Did you check out any lariats? Heck since you are already looking at 45,000 might as well make it 49,000 and get a lariat outlaw.
