For me a V10 was more cost effective, I put minimal miles on a truck per year and do not tow that often, maybe once per month 6 months out of the year. The added cost of diesel fuel and a PSD truck do not add up for me to justify that type of move (at this point in time).

Not everyone wants the noise and smell of an oil burner, not to mention the increase in maintenance costs, and higher priced fuel.

The 5K up-charge the PSD costs over the V-10 will buy lot's of gasoline.

If you really need more torque, put a supercharger on the V-10. That's a much better way to spend the 5K.

I drove a psd for a week before I bought my V10. I use my truck more for travel so the v10 and its quietness was a must.

Stock to stock I will race any psd and pull on it with the V10.

I would have to go the V10 route, just can't handle the noise.

Me too.

I love my new 2007 PSD SD!! 4x4 Crew Cab Lariat. Chrome package. 20" wheel package. TBC/Tow package. Running lights. And now I have the Ford remote starter installed. And at night the instrumentation looks super. God I love this thing!!
