v-10 or diesel

I like the fact that a diesel is broke in at around 20,000 miles and they outlast the body. Pulling a trailer always killed my gassers. The mileage with my 5.4 pulling a trailer was 8 - 9.2 MPG My diesel is 13- 13.5 MPG I think that is about 129 miles more per tank of fuel. That increased driving range makes it nice if you have a 34' trailer. This ford F350 is a very nice truck to pull, ride and just look down at all the small cars!

The reason I purchased a Diesel is I pull an RV 20,000 miles or more a year. I personally would not purchase it to do what you are going to do. That V-10 is a very good motor and will do what you want. I got my information from people that pull RV's. When I go around the US and the campgrounds are packed with Ford F350 ask them How Is That Truck Pulling? This is information that come from people that use the trucks every day and they will tell you what is good and what to stay away from. I also noticed most Public Works Departments use Ford F-550 trucks How many twp. Departments do you see that are Dodge?
