I would have willingly accepted that beer. Unfortunately, when Ford has these media events there is absolutely no free time. Get in. Drive the trucks. Listen to their PR and Marketing people. Go home.

This time, the schedule varied a bit, as the weather wound up canceling my flight home. Since I had to be home Wednesday morning, I rented a car with Ken Payne from Ford Truck Enthusiasts and we made the 15 hour drive home.

As a sidenote, if you are ever in the market for a fullsize luxury sedan, you can do a lot worse than the Cadillac DTS.

Very nice. I like that step in the tailgate, pretty cool. Reminds me of the emergency boarding ladders on the new bass boats.

I like the step too, and i bet is an easy bolt on conversion mod to older superdutys

but wtf is that yellow ball handle thing?

I also wonder how the new bed wall extender things will work out...

With the same-colored switch/slider it looks like a lock for the handle, the "ball" looks flattened on two sides, also it looks bright for visibility incase you drive off with it open.

Looks like a handle to help you into the bed.

Wow, they look great. At first I wasn't so sure at all, but the front end REALLY grew on me. It says "BOLD" all over to me.

And that tailgate device, as well as the tuck-away bed extender sure are sweet and innovative ideas. Good work Ford
