2006 F350

I'm looking at a left over 2006 F350. 5.4 V-8 automatic with 3:73 gears any suggestion buy or not. What is the best rear end to get? what will the power and gas milage be like? How about towing how will it do? sticker price is $31,000 reduced to $25,000 plus almost $6,000 in rebates. so the price is right.
Thanks for any suggestions

if its anything bigger then a regular cab id say scrap the 5.4 and go for the V-10. thats just too much weight for the 5.4 especially if you plan on towing also IMO

I will also be plowing snow with it how will it plow? Do you think it will have enough power. After test drive truck seems to have a lot of power. I will be getting rid of a 2005 Chevy 2500HD. The chevy was the biggest piece of junk I ever had

picked up the truck so far I'm very happy with it. Run great power seems pretty good. Gonna put a snow plow on it. I'm still wondering which rear end is better the 4:10 or the 3:73 my chevy had 4:10 it was lazy and hard on gas. Im glad I went back to ford. Thanks for any help you can give

It'll do that fine.

4.10s will have more grunt for plowing, but 3.73s are ok too.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the help. I think I'm going to like this truck. Power seems pretty good gas mileage seems good only put 800 miles on it but so far it runs great. I realy like the torq shift transmission that is going to be nice when i tow the trailer. It feels good to be back in a ford
