About a month ago I purchased a 2006 F250 and I absolutely love it. I know it will take a while to break-in and I'm not looking for huge power, I already have my 150 for that. What I am looking for is a good quality intake that will will not compromise the turbine by letting in dirt. I also want to add a little power, and especially reveal that awesome turbo spooling sound.

I removed my muffler from the truck already, it's sounds great, and it's really barely louder than muffled. One exhaust clamo and everything from the cat-bakc comes right off .

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I've ready a few air intake reports (not done by Ford), you cannot do any better than the factory air intake system. It has a higher flow rate and does a better job of keeping the grungies from the turbo over any 3rd party intake.

 

From the reviews of other that have them on, don't expect much of a HP gain over the OEM on a fairly stock truck (even with a programer). If you want one do it for looks and turbo whistle. If you want lots of turbo whistle and a little less turbo lag, kick the kitty to the curb.
